HI,

I am coming to Ars for help on my new work laptop because our IT support is frustrating now that its been outsourced.
My new work laptop (Lenovo Yoga 460) is running Windows 10 and has been having wireless connectivity issues since I received it. The first issue was the wireless adapter's inability to stay connected to a WiFi network. Updating the wireless adapter's drivers to the latest solved that problem. The latest issue is a lack of consistency in its connection to a wireless network. At the moment, its sitting on my home office next to my desktop and old work laptop (Lenovo T450). All three computers are connected to my home network via WiFi. When I look at Wireless Network Connection Status for each computer, the Yoga's status jumps around frequently. My desktop using the onboard Asus wireless card (Asus P8ZZ77-V) stays consistently connected to my home WiFi network with full signal and 72.2Mbps. The old Lenovo T460 stays constantly connected to the WiFi network with a full signal and 144.4Mbps. The new Yoga 460 has issues. It frequently jumps between 3 and 4 bars of signal (out of five), and the connected speed will jump around from 1.0Mbps to 59.6Mbps. Most of the time, the connected speed is below 10Mbps, and frequently 1.0Mbps.
Ive used the Lenovo software to update all the drivers and software packages. I have tried numerous times disabling and re enabling the wireless device on the Yoga. I am using the latest drivers from Lenovo, and have also tried older drivers. Moving the laptop around the room or desk does nothing to solve the issue. It doesn't matter if its plugged in (which is nearly always is) or running on battery. The Yoga doesn't have issues of staying connected to the WiFi network, only keeping a stable and usable speed. Web browsing, connecting to my work's VPN, and outlook have issues connecting at most speeds I am able to connect at. I am new to Windows 10 and open to trying anything.
Before I determine if this laptop is defective in someway, I was hoping for some suggestions of things to try to fix this problem.

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
